Easter 2010

Ok, so I know Easter has come and gone, but I’m running a little behind!  We had a wonderful Easter celebrating the resurrection of Jesus!  It’s a special day for me too because I was actually able to sit with my husband at church!  Jeff teaches during both services each week to our youth so we never get to attend worship together, but on Easter Sunday we had the students attend the service with their parents so we got to sit together.  Landree and Hudson were too cute in their Sunday best, but it’s almost impossible to get a picture so here are a few random ones through out the day.  Landree was happy to pose with Emily.

After church we came home for Hudson to take a quick nap and finish up our side dishes before we headed to the Brewer’s for lunch.  We’ve been in SC for 7 Easters and I think we’ve spent every one of them with the Brewer’s.  There have been others join us through out the years, but we decided to keep it low key and just us this year.  There are double the amount of people in just our two families than there was just 4 years ago :)

Of course we didn’t get a ‘dressed up’ picture of our family, but here we all are Easter 2010.  As I look at it, Landree is pretty dressed up she has a tutu on with her outfit :)

DSC_0946 While we were finishing cooking a few things (and Hudson napped-he misses all the fun!) We let the kids dye eggs.  We had them take of their clothes so they didn’t get all messy.  I noticed that several people on blogs I read had very similar pictures.  Ha!

After our egg hunt we headed in to make deviled eggs with the ‘real’ eggs and divided up the stash of goodies-our poor kids were so excited about the 5 jelly beans or skittles in each egg because they don’t eat much candy.  They ate candy until we made them stop, and then we ate lunch.  Jennifer made a ham, the yummiest mashed potatoes and rolls, I made sweet potato casserole, squash casserole, and pineapple pudding (like banana pudding).

It was a beautiful day-the kids rode on the ‘tv slide’ (thanks to Mr. Michael-the tv box pulled up and down the hill) and we went for a walk before heading home for the evening.

Here are a few other pictures from the morning-Landree opening up her Easter basket:
