Weekend Review

We had a great weekend! Friday was our friend, Michael Brewer's, birthday. Jennifer planned a night away for them so Jeff, Landree and I went and stayed the night with Cooper. We had a really fun time! Cooper and Landree played (like usually) and we all shot the basketball about a million times. Landree is becoming more ball obsessed like Cooper everyday. Today she was calling my necklace 'balls' she would point and say ball, ball, ball...I would say that's right Landree those look like balls, but that's Mommy's necklace and then she would repeat necklace and then say ball, ball, ball...you get it...

Jeff and I rented a few movies and stayed up late on Friday night after the babies went to bed. It's so easy to be distracted at your own house because there is always something to do. Actually about a million things to do so it was a nice break for us too (no laptop, no laundry, no dishes).

Landree was so tired on Friday night we were watching a little cartoon and she laid her head in my lap and was falling asleep at like 6. We got up and took a bath and got the babies ready for bed (to distract the tiredness). By the time we were finished with the bath Landree had a fever so we gave her Tylenol and put her to bed. She is fine now. I don't even think she was really sick. She is getting 4 teeth right now-maybe that's why she had a fever. Anyway...we were supposed to go to a wedding on Saturday and a babysitter who was going to come and keep both Cooper and Landree but we didn't want to get Cooper sick so Jeff took her home on Saturday morning and I played with Cooper until the sitter came and then I went to the wedding.

Our friend, my former co-worker at CIU, Mike Thompson is who got married on Saturday. I love Mike Thompson! I am so excited for he and his new wife Cindy! I love the story of how they met and can't wait to get to know Cindy. I don't know if she will keep her website, but she tells the story of their engagement and getting to know each other here.

I am so glad I got to go to the wedding! It was like a mini reunion. I got to see several people I used to work with (none of who work there anymore) and several students. It was so much fun. Joe and his wife Jennifer had Hannah when I first started working at CIU. She's 5 1/2 now. Here she and Emma are posing for me.

Emma loved the camera! She wanted me to keep taking her picture. These are of her 'showing me her pretty eyes' like her daddy told her to do, and her silly face. I'm sure her mom will really appreciate me posting these :)

After the reception I went over to see my friend Marcie, who I also used to work with. She and her husband are home on furlow currently. They have served in Central Asia in the past, and will be going again soon to a new location...I don't know if I can say where. I love talking to Marcie. She has 3 boys and they were napping so we got a chance to talk for almost an hour. It was great! I have learned so much about missionaries and the world for that matter from her. I loved working with Marcie.

And just because you deserve it if you actually made it to the end of this post. Here is a picture of Landree in yet another dress I bought her. She's saying Mommy (she's calling me Mommy now-I love it!) no more trying on dresses. Please!

Too, too cute of a dress! I love it.

If you like hearing her say Mommy now, just wait until the first time she says "Mommy, I wuv uuuu". I cried like a baby!

I can't believe how grown up Joe's girls are! I'm so glad (jealous!) that you got to see everyone. :) What a reunion. Wish I could've been there!

Hey Jennifer. Okay, I'm hooked now on digital scrapbooking and creating a blog after seeing your blog site. I want to donate to your walk and I want you to help me make my page as cute as yours! Let me know what I need to send you so you can help me get started!
