Christmas Morning 2009

We had a fabulous Christmas morning.  Landree loved her doll house and drum that Santa brought for her and I know Hudson is going to love his toys too when he gets a little bit older.  We could have been finished before we even got started once Landree saw her new doll house.  She loved it!

How cute is this little face!?  Hudson enjoyed sitting in Poppee’s lap holding one of the rattles he got in his stocking.  He helped Poppee open his presents too.

Landree got lots of dress up clothes from Mia and Poppee.  She immediately had to put on her Snow White costume and red heels before she could open any more presents.  Then she put on her fairy wings and carried her wand around too.  When she opened her rooms for her doll house we had to take a break from present opening so she could play with them too.

Jeff’s big surprise was that I’m going to let him decorate the playroom with Cowboys stuff.  He is seriously the biggest fan.  He got a Tony Romo Fathead from my parents and money to help decorate the room.  If you know me you know this is a Christmas miracle in itself.  I’m all about Texas and the Cowboys too, but I had a Pottery Barn playroom in mind-my mom and friends convinced me that since I get to pick everything else out in the house I should give Jeff one room.  Merry Christmas.  Jeff had a very Cowboys Christmas-every present he got at my parents house was a Cowboys something (jacket, calendar, pictures, and hat).

Poppee has the look down.  He is so good at being surprised-even when he knows he always get overalls and work shirts.  He did get a few other hunting things he picked out for him and his coon dogs and he got a Martin birdhouse and pole as a surprise for his cabin.

Mia gets lots of the same presents year after year too.  I guess I go with what a I know.  Bath and Body Works, a spa day, and a fruitcake, this year Mia has lost about 20 pounds and she got some new jeans too.

Mia and Poppee got Hudson a new jumper and even though he’s not jumping yet, he was enjoying sitting in it and looking at the toys.  Landree thinks it’s pretty neat too.  She likes showing him how all of the toys work.  He also got lots of new toys, rattles, and a toy bar for his car seat.

Mia took me shopping for things for our new house at LaurieAnna’s so I wasn’t expecting to have any surprises under the tree, but she managed to surprise me with a few other things for the house and a new pair of Keen’s I’ve been wanting.

We had a wonderful Christmas morning!  After playing a while and packing our things we headed to Grandma and Papa’s around lunch time.  Christmas round 2 up next…
