Jumping for joy is good exercise

DSC_0701

We have been so lucky to have had such fabulous weather for January and February.  LIke 70 degree weather.  Last year at this time we had snow (which is somewhat rare around here too!) My Momma and Daddy got Landree (and Hudson) a trampoline for Christmas this year.  By far best. present. ever!  Landree has been able to go out and jump so many afternoons.  I love that she can be outside getting some of her energy out and have so much fun doing it!  I can even be folding clothes in the playroom with the door open or sitting in the yard doing something I need to do while she jumps her little heart out.  Funny story-the trampoline turns her knees black so Mia told her to wear dark pants.  So now she goes in and finds any dark pants she can find to get ready to jump.   We can have some pretty interesting outfits.

Hudson isn’t the fan Landree is {yet} he likes to run around and tackle Landree or his new favorite is when I hold him and jump.  Now that’s a work out.

We’ll take as many warm weather days as we can get now, because I’m afraid we’ll roast out there this summer.

The Best Grandparents ever!

We really are blessed, we know that our kids have the best grandparents ever (and we have the best parents)! Not only do they love them to pieces and call and leave sad messages everyday about how no one ever calls them or posts to the blog, POPEE, but they always think about us on holidays and send us a special treat. Grandma sent us a special box for Valentine’s day including pink pancakes, a GIANT puppy pillow, Pinkalicious sticker book, princess thermos, and not one, or two, but THREE marshmallow suckers for Landree. Hudson Landree enjoyed Hudson’s new Clifford pillow, silkie, and blanket that Grandma made him too.

And then just a week later Mia sent us a box packed full of new clothes for the kids. Seriously, our kids would be naked (or at least not look near as cute without Mia’s shopping habit!)

Grandparents-we love you to pieces! Thank you for spoiling our kids (and us) like crazy! We can’t wait to see y’all soon!

I'll buy you a pony...

So a few days before Landree and I left Texas Daddy told her that he really wanted her to stay with he and Mia. He told her that if she would stay he would buy her a horse. At first she said ok, and then she said we would just take the horse home with us. I am so glad she decided to come home with me. Jeff would have died if I came home without her! As for the horse, he wouldn't fit in our luggage. We did take a fun little field trip to visit a horse and a few other farm animals-it's almost a little bit sad that this poor little girl wasn't born in the country. She loves it outside and loves animals. Her momma is the city girl at heart {you'd just never know when I open my mouth-pure country}

Why would you pay a housekeeper?

Seriously, why would you pay a housekeeper when you have a totally capable {almost} three year old you could put to work. Here are a few pictures Momma took of Landree helping her work while she stayed with my parents in Texas. The child {adores} a broom so much that Momma and I searched for one that is just her size last time Mia was here. I seriously couldn't sweep while she was awake because she would try to take the broom away from me. And her favorite chore at Mia and Popee's was start the washer and dryer. I guess I need to get front loading washer and dryer so she can help me more around here :)

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

While Momma and I were shopping on Black Friday we found this super cute power bug for Landree. She loves Cooper's power 4 wheeler, and I knew she would love it! Mi and Poppee bought it for her for Christmas. We decided to let her open it before they left so that they could see her reaction and so she would know it was from them. It was a hit. She said "I love it!" I wish we had gotten that on video! So cute! She got in and out of her car about 100 times that night. Unfortunately, she's only been able to ride around the house so far because it's been rainy. I can't wait to get outside and take pictures of her in her new pink bug!
