Whoa, Molly!

It’s the cutest little thing to hear him say, and Hudson is constantly talking about Molly (my daddy’s mule) when he sees anything horse.  Which he is currently obsessed with-we have lots of farm/animal books and we’ll read them and then he insists on going back to the horse page.

We were to fortunate to be able to spend a month home at Christmas time which gave the kids lots of play time with family and friends.  And lots of visits with Molly the mule (although I’m pretty sure the carrots were his favorite part.) He would get a carrot for Molly and then keep it just about every time.  The first few visits were getting used to Molly, then sitting on her, and even being led around (in jammies of course) when you’re ready to go see the mule it doesn’t matter what you’re wearing, right?

See who has the carrot?

A little QT with Poppee

Poppee loves to spend time with Landree and she loves to torture play with Zoe so their nightly routine is for Landree to join Poppee (and Zoe) in his room while he watches the news before bedtime.  And literally all he can do it watch it because Landree is so loud singing and telling him stories that you can’t hear a word they are saying.  He doesn’t seem to mind.

Sometimes there is a little jumping involved too.  Poppee told her not to jump on the bed, but she didn’t listen.  He didn’t really seem to mind.

This girl is going to be so spoiled when we get home.  And I’m sure she’ll be requesting the O’Rilley Factor before bed at night if she thinks it means she can stay up later and jump on the bed.  And for now I don’t really mind if it means she’s getting to spend a little QT with Poppee.

merry christmas

DSC_1039

I hope your day is HEAVY on the merry as you celebrate the birth of our Savior!  {When we decorated our tree Landree kept putting ornaments on the same branch and I couldn't bear to move them.  I’m just glad the branch didn’t snap off before Christmas.}

Also, Happy Birthday to my dad today!  We love you Poppee!

But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid.  I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all people.  Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord.  This will be a sign to you:  You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”  Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on who his favor rests.”  Luke 2:10-14

Landree and Poppee

Our trip home was so quick, but we were able to squeeze in lots of fun! I don't manage to get many pictures when we are with our families because I am just trying to soak them in! Our trip was so quick! It was Momma's birthday the day after we arrived so we celebrated with cupcakes! Landree was in heaven! She always gets to have extra treats when the grandparents are around that we don't let her have very often.

I did manage to get a few cute pictures of Landree and Poppee being silly and talking on the phone. I think Landree was talking to Minnie Mouse.

Fun at the creek!

You're not at the wrong blog. This is Keeping up with Landree so stay with me...

My dad has some land on the creek about 15 miles from our house and he's recently had a cabin moved in. When we were at home Landree, Momma, and I went over to see the new cabin and ride around on the mule {Kawasaki-not the animal kind}

Here's the tour-this end wasn't finished. Daddy had the wall of window put in.

This is the pond that my dad dug:

Every cabin needs an outhouse-we're talking way out in the woods here people:

Daddy had just built this covered area to park his camper before he had the cabin moved in:

On the way to and from the creek Landree wanted to see all the cows and horses. We stopped a few times to let her talk to them. These are real Texas longhorns :)

Fun with Popee and Zoe

Landree loves her grandparents! Up to the night that my momma and daddy got here she would say, "I so excited! See Mi, Poppee, and Zoe!" She especially loves their little Maltese, Zoe! So first thing on Thursday morning she wanted to on a walk with Poppee and Zoe. They just walked to the end of the road, but it was pretty chilly. I didn't take time to match anything she was wearing or even change her out of her warm pj's. They were ready to go! I love the look on Landree's face. And this was the first time for her to wear gloves with fingers. She liked them.
