Shabby Page

beach beauty may 09

Shabby Miss Jenn is one of my very favorite designers. I love her shabby style {of course} and how realistic all of her elements look. Well, I'm so excited because this month Jenn asked me {so sweet} to be a guest shabby girl at her shop. Wow! I've got several more pages I need to scrap, but this one was the inspiration for my new header. Beach pictures are so fun to scrap-I'll have more pages coming soon!

Real Love Mini Kit

Jess Gordon has a new mini kit out for Valentine's Day-her inspiration was from 1 Corinthians 13:1-8a. I made a page for Landree, but it would be perfect for wedding pages or of course Valentine pages too! Hop over to her blog for a freebie and to her shop-the kit is only $2 right now! Thanks for letting me play Jess!

New Jess Gordon Kit: So Flirty

Jess Gordon has a new digital kit out just in time for Valentine's day called So Flirty. It was so fun to scrap with! Jess thanks so much for the opportunity to play with it! I will be loading a new header for my blog today too using this kit. LOVE IT! It's available at her store beginning today!

Jess is going to have a free candy bar wrapper using her new kit available on her blog today. Even non scrappers can take advantage of this. You just pop a picture behind the flattened jpg, print, and wrap around a candy bar. That's a {sweet} little Valentine treat.

Congratulations Jessica!

New Jess Gordon Kit: Color Theory: Olive

Jess Gordon asked for scrappers to try out her new kit: Color Theory: Olive, by Jess Gordon, available at Christina Renee Designs. I was lucky enough to be one of the first ones to use it! They have tons of these colors kits over at Christina Renee Designs which are great because sometimes you just need a certain color and they are fun to mix and match. I love it! Oh, and they are on sale now!

I scrapped a picture of Camryn from her birthday party. She is so sweet! The journaling says: Keep a green bough in your heart, and the singing bird will come. Chinese proverb

Everything is from Jess' Olive kit aside from the frame by Shabby Miss Jenn Beach Shack and the scalloped brown paper and circle are by Heather Ann Melzer the circle has one of Jess' olive papers clipped to it.

Thanks again Jess! Congrats on your first kit!!!

Baby Shower sans pictures...

I feel lost...my camera is at my friend Jennifer's house so this will be a post sans pictures, and I have so many to post! So sad...I'll post them later. Saturday we had a baby shower for our friend Traci. It went so well. The food was fabulous! The company was great and Traci got so many wonderful things for baby Hampton (whose name I'm in love with!). We had a monogram theme. She got bibs, blankets, a bag, burp cloths, and even a lampshade monogrammed-so fun!

I designed the invites using the wild animals kit from Shabby Miss Jen. Here's a peak:

We played the funniest game ever (also grossest!) I was doubtful, but Traci and another hostess Katherine had played it before and it was so funny! They melted 6 different kinds of candy bars in diapers and you had to guess what they were. It was so funny seeing Traci's 75 year old Nana sniffing a baby diaper. Not exactly the most proper game, but funny! I was a doubter, but this was the hardest I've laughed in a long time! I'll be sure to post some of those too.

Traci is so thoughtful! She got us the cutest monogrammed key chains similar to these. I love it! Thanks Traci!

Photo editing...

These are old pictures, one from Christmas and one from our beach shoot this summer, but I was just playing around with them a little in photoshop. Amazing what 5 mins. and a little editing will do. I like the way they look :)

It's been super busy around here. Jeff is get getting the youth group ready to go to two services this weekend. We will start hosting collge small group soon. I'm planning a fall (on Halloween) outreach event in a neighborhood near our church, trying to get our women's ministry kick-started again, hosting a baby shower this weekend, I desperatly need to send out letters/emails about the Breast Cancer 3 Day-I worked on it for 45 mins today, but was timed out and lost everything (don't you hate that!) Planning for Landree's 2nd birthday party (the planning is really mostly done-it's the obsessing on what we want to get her that I constantly think about) plus about 10 other things :)

Here is a sneak peak at the party invitations I made for Landree's party (oh, and I need to mail them)

Landree's up-gotta go :)

Project Complete!

I told you I have the best of intentions. I love projects...and I don't normally have trouble completing them (don't ask about a cross stitch I have been working on for a blanket for my friend Traci-I'm hopeless...I'm making myself do it). Below are a few pictures of the photo books I did for our moms for Mother's Day. They are really easy and turned out so cute. I used the Favorite Things Badge Album from the Shabby Shoppe. Oh, and notice the Mother's Day cards-I thought I mailed them. I found them in a bag with a few other papers I've been looking for for 2 months!!! Now I'm working on our July 4th slideshow.

I am giving Me (my mom's grandma name) and Mawma (Jeff's mom who everyone else calls grandma, but Landree calls mawma) their presents right after we get to Texas so I am setting this up to auto post while we are out of town :)

July 4th Scrapbook Pages

Here are a few of my favorite pictures from the July 4th parade. I used the Shaby Princess Celebrate kit. The font is a freebie called I Do Declare! by Blythe Evans.

Scrap Challange

The Pixel Fairy Princess is having a challenge for another great word art she created.

Here's my page with a few of my favorite pictures from our picnic we had at Bear Lake in CO. I got so many cute pictures of Landree. She hiked up the side of the mountain BY HERSELF! Jeff would ask her if she needed help and she would say no, self! Oh and she held onto those flowers until we got home and laid her down for her nap.

Scrapbook Page

I am loving this new beach shack kit from Shabby Miss Jen! I took inspiration from this page and I love the way it turned out. I love to look through the galleries and get ideas from others and how they scrap! If not I feel like all my pages end up looking the same. I'm off to bed now! Goodnight!

More Park Pictures

Here is another page I did with the same Weeds and Wildflowers kit as below. I still have another page to make...so many cute pictures.

Saturday Review

We had the best day Saturday. That morning our youth group had a fundraising breakfast at Applebee's for their summer mission trip. It's a great place to have a fundraiser. They do most of the work and they are so helpful. It's fun because your group 'waits' tables-the kids did a great job. Landree and I went to eat pancakes-it's also lots of fun because it's just your group in the restaurant so we knew everyone there.

After breakfast we came home and ate lunch. Then Landree took a nap. After her nap we went to the park. She had such a fun time swinging. She wasn't too sure about the slide. I did go down one of them with her. But the big hit was the drawbridge. This is the first time Landree went on it. She loved it. It made me nervous...too many bigger kids running on it at the same time, but Landree LOVED IT! Jeff got so many cute pictures of her-a few I'm holding/saving her by one arm. She is just laughing and smiling from ear to ear. After the park we went for ice cream and of course that's always fun!

Here's a 2 page layout that I did from the park pictures. I'll probably do another 2 because we got so many cute pictures. The kit I used is Being Me by Weeds and Wildflowers. I used a Simply Yin template.

Here's the two page layout:

Scrapbook Challange

I did this layout with the Flower Stand Kit from Shabby Miss Jenn. The font is Susie's Hand. I used Kissed Studio Free Template #16 for a challange they are doing on the SMJ website. I changed a few things on the template. I like the way this turned out. I've been in a creative slump lately. I took tons of cute new pictures today so I am excited to scrap them :)

Pool Scrapbook Pages

The Pixel Fairy Princess (who's site I love!!!) always has the most beautiful scrapbook pages; I get lots of inspiration/ideas from her. She is having a challange using a 'word art' that she created. This was the perfect challange for me, because word art (or something cute to title the page with) is what I think is the hardest thing to come up with. Here are the pages I designed with her word art.

For these pages I used the Simply Yin template number 25. The elements and papers are all from the Shabby Princess Bounce Kit. The word art was created by The Pixel Fairy Princess. Font used is Susie's Hand.

Both pages together:

Fun with photo tinting...

I've been playing around in photoshop with color tinting. Here is a popsicle picture I've been playing around with.

Here's a scrapbook page I made with the cute popsicle pictures. I am working on another to match. This is made with the new Bounce kit from the Shabby Princess. She has several new kits. I bought almost all of them! They are so cute!!!

Another...sunglasses scrapbook page

Here is a page from a few cute pictures I took the other day. Landree wanted me to put her swim sunglasses on her (they have a velcro stap) she was so serious at first. I told her I wanted to take her picture. She started smiling...and being her silly self. I love this page, but I don't feel like the pictures match. I made it similar to one that the Pixel Fairy has on her site. I feel like it needs 'prettier' pictures. I used the flower stand kit from Shabby Miss Jen. It's a great kit!

Making Cookies Scrapbook Page

Here's the scrapbook page from us making cookies on Friday. I used the Bunny Trail kit by Krista. It is a cute Easter freebie. And the Mitzi M template 16.

Here's the page from Easter Sunday. I used a Simply Yin template a paper from the Painted Season Kit from Pepermint Creative.

I used the Painted Season Kit for this page also. The Eggs and cardboard circle are from the Cutesy Doodle Doo Elements Pack.

Sweet Feet page

This page goes with the post I did about Landree's sweet feet. This is the Miss Mint Painted Season Kit. I got it free at the Pepermint Creative site.
