Tea Party for Three

To say that Landree was a little spoiled while Grandma was here is an understatement. The night before they left we went to Target and with Aunt Maggie and Grandma's help Landree has lots of "stuff" picked out as she described it, "mommy, look at my stuff!" she got the cutest cupcake set and princess tea set. When we got home from Target Landree took a bath and then she had a late night tea party with Grandma and Maggie. Both the cupcakes and tea set have been played with nonstop since we got them. We love to have tea parties!!!

More Kitchen...

Are you sick of the kitchen posts? Sorry, it's what we do! Landree loves kitchen and apron set! Have you ever put oven mits on your feet? You should try it sometime-Landree thought it was so funny. Seriously moms, this kitchen was $130 at Target. What a steal compared to the PBK one! Even all our boy friends love it.

Why do we even bother?

I don't know why we even bother to buy this girl toys. I bought a tote last week to pack up a few of Landree's older toys since she got so many nice things from all of her friends for her birthday. She has barely played with one new thing since we've had the tote. She likes to take the baby toys out and line them up and then put them back in and she likes to climb inside the bucket too!

This is the basket I keep in the living room with toys in it. Do you see anything strange about what's inside?

Fridays are such a fun day for our family. Jeff is off and we get to spend all day just hanging out. I put Landree's hair in a ponytail. It's finally long enough! She was hamming it up for me when I asked to take her picture!

Hollywood...

Check her out...isn't she cute? She has a style of her own, and opinion about mine too...on the way to church yesterday I hadn't put my jewelry on yet. I had a few necklaces in the car (I have a tendency of taking them off as soon as I get into the car-so I had a few to choose from.) I put on a turquoise necklace and asked Landree if she liked it. She loves necklaces! Well, she said "No like Mommy, no like. Pink necklace!" She has pretty good taste...so I wore the pink one.

And look at this close up of those upside down sunglasses...and that hair! This was after our nap one afternoon this week.

Lunch with friends...

These nice girls visited us for lunch today....ok, so they live here, but we've been having them join us for more activities lately. Watching tv, eating, etc. Baby sit, baby watch, baby stroller. Now if I could just get Landree to fall in love with that Pottery Barn doll...

I don't even know how to title this...first of all she's standing on the table (these pictures were taken when I was at work) Jeff had a few errands to run this morning and he got Landree all dolled up in her Dog Bar t-shirt from Colorado, matching capri's (they have a ruffle on them-they totally don't match, but she's cute anyway) and her new boots I got her yesterday from Target. She insisted on wearing them-they are too big because I bought them for the fall. Anyway...I love these pictures. She is so joyful and loves spending time with her daddy!

Am I seeing double?

Yes, she is wearing two pair of sunglasses and a new pair of winter house shoes. I got them at Walmart for a whopping $1. Tonight, I found the cutest pair of rain boots on sale at Target for $4-they are pink. She actually liked the blue pair with a snake and lizzard on them (that's what we get for hanging out with all boys) and I would have bought them too, but there was only one of them. I thought Landree was the one with the shoe obsession...maybe it's me.

I'm just finishing up packing we'll (Landree and I) be heading to Texas tomorrow for 10 days! Yippee! I'm so excited! Family, friends, and lots of Mexican food. Can't beat it!

More Dress up...

My sister in law heard my cry and said she has a pile of dress up clothes for us when we come home next week. I guess we'll just have to see what we can fit in our bag :) We're only allowed one bag now. I am in love with all the new Fancy Nancy dress up stuff at Target. It's so cute, but it says 3 and up so I've tried to hold off. Tonight we were waiting for friends to come over for dinner and Landree found her hat and had Jeff help her put it on and she waited by the door. I asked her if I could take her picture and she spun around and smiled at me with her big cheesy smile!

At least it's getting a little use...

You guessed it...you're eyes do not deceive you...that is her potty seat! At least we are getting good use of it, right? (No one has every actually used the bathroom in it-don't worry) Other parents let their kids do this, right? Right? Someone confirm me, please?

She loves to take the potty seat apart and put it back together. I try to keep this to a minimum. Maybe she'll feel so comfortable with it we'll have no reservations using it when it comes time to potty training.
