Landree asked every day this week if it was mother’s day. She was super excited about Mother’s Tea at her preschool. I asked Jennifer if she would keep Hudson so I could really enjoy the morning with my sweet girl. All the kids were excited to see their mommas come in-they were all lined up at the front of the room. As we came in we found our corsage that the kids made us and then sat down for the program. They sang a few sweet little songs. Landree had already sang most of them to me at home. It was funny to listen to them because at home she is so loud, but at school they were all whispering. I think it’s because the teacher was whispering the songs along with them. :)
Then we had snacks. The kids decorated cupcakes for us and they had sandwiches and fruit. Landree said they had the best sandwiches because they have a kitchen at school and they make the best triangle sandwiches! I think it was the white bread. I don’t think she’s ever had it.
Sort of: Jeff and I are going to be in Haiti during Landree’s dance recital and I couldn’t bear the thought of missing it or telling her she had to miss it. I asked about rescheduling, but that wasn't good for the other 300 people involved :) I’m only sort of joking. So I thought it would be fun to have a little dress rehearsal at our church on stage and then a small party afterward. Only three other girls were able to participate today, but we had so much fun and Landree loved it and that’s all that matters to me. And Jeff and I got to be there and we didn’t have to sit through another hour and a half of the recital!
They did both a ballet and tap dance. Quite entertaining!

I’ll post more dance pictures soon!
Poppee this is for you! I haven’t gotten much video of Hudson walking because when he notices that I’m video-ing him he is more interested in that, case in point, the quick video below. He was so funny throwing Landree’s cat and then going to pick it up. That is his favorite game these days throwing something and then going to get it. He’s even better than a puppy because he even throws the object himself :)
He is also loving on Landree’s stuffed animals more these days it’s so cute! And he picked up one of her baby bottles and feed a puppy last night it was so sweet! I am amazed at how smart he is.
We love you family! And can’t wait to see you soon!
Also, my two BFFs {Shauna and Megan (and Hayden)} are heading my way in the morning! I am so excited! We’ve been so busy running errands and having play dates that I haven’t even cleaned the house. The good thing about BFFs is they don’t care and they will help me clean if it really bothers them (which it won’t!)
We (the kids and I) are so blessed to have the best husband and dad in the world! Jeff seriously bends over backwards for us and loves us to pieces. He’s such a hard worker and I know we don’t tell him how much we appreciate him enough. Jeff is at beach camp this weekend so we did a little early celebrating, but we sent this along with one of the chaperones to surprise him this morning. Jeff we love you so much and miss you! Happy Father’s Day! We can’t wait to see you!

We also want to wish our Popee and Papa a Happy Father’s Day too! We love you both so much and can’t wait to spend some much need QT with you this summer!
Stacey, our wonderful photographer, came over a few weeks ago to take Hudson’s (5 month) pictures. She did such a fabulous job! I am so in love with all of them! I mean look at this beautiful baby!
My Memom made this blanket for me when I was a baby.
And because I can’t post all 30 something pictures…can I? Here’s a little slideshow with all of them.

Tomorrow will be very busy for us with Jeff leaving for beach camp so we gave him is Father's Day presents early. I actually gave him his main present last week...I can't keep a present. I love to buy them and give them! We got Jeff a docking station for his IPod and I made him this video. Jeff is the best dad! He is so good with Landree! He is such a helper to me too. He loves to play with her and give her a bath, and they love to giggle, tickle and be silly together. You'll see when you watch the slide show.
Now...know that I always have the best of intentions. I have 2 birthday cards for my friends Julie and Shauna sitting on my kitchen table. Their birthday's are the 29th and 27th (of March). Now I have 3 Father's Day cards that need to be mailed (not to mention the Mother's Day presents that I've never finished or mailed to Grandma and Mia-I think I mailed them cards...) But please know-I do have the best of intentions. Happy Father's Day Papa, Popee, and Uncle Brian. Hopefully you'll get your cards in the next week or two.
And in honor of my dear old dad...the following are pictures of my garden (4 pots with tomatoes, bell pepper, and jalapeno plants-a modified garden).

The park we went to was really cute and tucked into an older neighborhood. I felt more like we were in someones backyard than a park. A lady with a little dog named Max met up with some friends there. Landree chased her little dog around everywhere. I thought this was such a cute picture...I think we might have to get the girl a dog.

Saturday afternoon after Landree's nap we packed up and headed to the beach for pictures. Stacey has them posted on her site now. The information is in the post below if you want to take a look. We stayed the night in Charleston and headed to breakfast at IHOP and the beach until around 2 before we headed home. Landree did so good; she woke up at about 6 am on Sunday (way earlier than normal) and didn't nap until we got into the car to come home. She just ran around the beach getting near the water and then would run back. She loved carrying her new bucket and shovel around and digging. Here's a little slideshow I put together with the pictures I took of Landree (and a few of Jeff) while we were at the beach on Monday.
The song on this video is Sunny Days by Jars of Clay.
